Ingredients
For the cake:
- flour 1cup
- baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
- castor sugar 1 cup
- eggs 3
- oil 1/4 cup
For the chocolate syrup:
- milk 1/2 litre
- cocoa powder 5-6 tbsp
- butter 1 tbsp
- sugar to taste
- icing sugar 2 tbsp
- coconut powder to coat the fingers
Method
- Beat eggs and vanilla essence with the help of an electric beater untill they're 3 times in volume.
- Add sugar slowly whlist mixing. Then add oil.
- Set aside the electric mixer and fold in the flour. Add 2-3 tbsp of warm milk.
- Grease a square pan with oil or butter, dust with a little flour. Pour in the cake batter and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let it cool and cut into fingers.
- In a saucepan mix milk, cocoa powder and sugar. Put on flame and bring to boil.
- Once boiling, add the icing sugar and remove from the flame. Let it cool completely.
- Dip fingers in chocolate sauceand roll in coconut powder.
